In June 2020, the Van Dyke Farms HOA submitted 201 sidewalk offsets to Hillsborough County for repair. These offsets ranged from less than one-inch to more than five inches (
click here to review). In 2021, Hillsborough County smoothed the offsets less than one and one-half inchs by grinding down the offset, and effort the Association is very grateful for. However, about 70 major offsets remain that range from more than an inch and a half to over five inches. In July 2022 the Association completed a second sidewalk survey (
click here to review) that included photos of each of the offsets (see below). On August 3, 2022, the Association again contacted the county about the needed repairs and received a response from Robert Tramel (
click here to review). The County has been repeatedly contacted to repair these offsets. This included an interaction with the County on January 7, 2025, documented in a response by Blair Mills (
click here to review). The latest interaction with the County is a letter the Board approved for transmission to Ken Hagan copying the other County Commissioners and Blair Mills at its October 28, 2025 meeting (
click here to review). As stated in this letter the Association has again taken photos of all the offsets and posted on this page (see below). This provides the members and county staff how these offsets are changing over time. Although the County has installed reflective tape on many of these offsets. A number of the offsets do not have warning tape.
