December 8, 2011: DO NOT OPEN YOUR DOORS TO SOLICITORS. DO NOT! There is a new group of young people out in VDF in the late evening. They are with New Beginnings Enterprises. They are selling magazines. It is a SCAM. Do not open your door to them. Do NOT give them money. Ask them to leave. Tell them you are calling the Sheriff. This is a scam. Last night (Dec 7) two black men and a black woman were in our neighborhood. I got calls from Thoroughbred, Lake Cypress and Carriage Way. They are dropped off in a silver van, Michigan plate 4KL Y19. Please do NOT open your door to them. Ask them to leave. I am working with the Sheriff's office about this now. Thank you.
November 22, 2011: It has been reported that Elaine Romero has been seen now driving a faded red, Expedition type vehicle in the Tarpon Springs Rd/ Tyler Rd area of Odessa. She is with a new male friend, as Jesus Romero is still in Pasco County jail. He could not bond out of jail, and has been in jail since Oct 28. BOLO for a FADED RED, Expedition type vehicle driving through the area.

On November 3, 2011: The FDLE sent me an alert that an offender has registered with them and is living in Van Dyke Farms on Downs Dr. Please be aware that he is living in VDF. He has served his time but is required now to register with the Florida Dept of Law Enforcement.
On October 28, 2011: the couple from Holiday were arrested again in Pasco County for breaking into unoccupied dwellings. She bonded out, but he is still in jail with NO BOND.
On October 18, 2011: the couple from Holiday were arrested in Pasco County for breaking into unoccupied dwellings. She bonded out on the 19th, but he is still in jail on $34,000 bond.
A VDF resident saw an SUV similar to the one in pictures below cruising around VDF streets, driving slow and looking at houses and garages.

July 29, 2011: In July and August we had three home burglaries in the neighborhood. We were told by the Sheriff's office that there is a couple from Holiday, Florida that were arrested on July 29 on suspicion of burglaries in the Odessa area. Here are two pictures of their car.
