Neighborhood Watch  Coordinator - Amy Guistina at 926-2016 or  vdfneighwatch@yahoo.com   This program is based on the concept of neighbor watching out for neighbor.   Neighborhood Watch is a cooperative volunteer effort to help inform the community of security issues.  Each homeowner is ultimately responsible for his property.  Occasionally advice from the Sheriff's Dept. is given to assist in making homes more secure -- whether or not someone heeds that advice is their decision.  Of the 422 homes in the community 334 homeowners or 79% of the community belong to the program.  Homeowners are NOT automatically enrolled in the program.  If you want to enroll in Neighborhood Watch contact Amy Guistina and she will put you in touch with your areas Block Captain.  At a minimum we encourage you to sign up for the email notification portion of the N.W. program.  If you witness a crime in progress, call 911 -- otherwise call the Sheriff's Dispatch number at 247-8200.  Be sure to get an event number to report to your Block Captain or the Neighborhood Watch Coordinator, Amy Guistina .

YARD WASTE DAY ---- Friday only -- waste should be bundled for ease of handling. Don't use plastic bags for yard waste

RECYCLING DAY ----- Friday only -- one bin for paper, magazines, junk mail & cardboard if broken down -- one bin for tin or aluminum cans, glass & plastic - don't recycle lids to avoid injury to workers during processing.
